During the past twelve years I have been privileged to hold a senior and influential role in the planning and development of the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia’s fastest growing city.

I have also greatly enjoyed the role I have been able to pursue internationally for the Gold Coast, especially in China. I have led many trade missions to China and negotiated contracts for local businesses worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I have also pursued and achieved agreements to enable cooperation and collaboration at the highest level between the Gold Coast and major cities in southern China.

Now I am operating as a private consultant in the field of international government and business relations, with a particular focus on South East Asia and China.

I have a long history or personal association with South East Asia, and from the beginning of my University studies I had a strong focus on South East Asian politics and human geography.

The key to success in Asia is the development of genuine and respectful relationships, which has always been my focus.
